Why can't I find my new business on Google?
Last updated: Oct 2026
Problem
You search your business name and nothing shows, or only on the map when you type the exact name.
Usual reasons
- The profile isn't verified yet, or verification is still pending.
- The profile exists but was created under a different account (a designer's, a relative's).
- The name on Google doesn't match the name customers type.
- The profile was suspended, often because of extra words in the name or an address Google doesn't accept.
- It's simply new: Google shows newer businesses less until it has more information and reviews.
Check yourself in 2 minutes
- Go to business.google.com and sign in with the account you think owns it. Does the profile show as verified?
- Search your exact name plus your town on your phone.
- Search on Google Maps too.
What to do
finish verification; make sure you own the profile; complete every field; ask your first real customers for reviews. If it was suspended, don't create a new profile — that usually makes it worse. Ask for reinstatement from inside the account.
Questions owners ask
Should I make a second profile?
No. Duplicates are a common reason for suspension. Fix the one you have.
Will paying Google help?
Ads can show you above results, but they don't fix your profile. The profile itself is free.
Can you check it for me?
Yes. The free check shows what a new customer sees when they search for you.
