What does AI tell your customers about your business?

Customers now ask AI apps for your number, your website, or whether you're open. A wrong answer can make it harder to reach you. We check what one of them, Google's Gemini, tells them. Free.

What we check

We ask Gemini, the way a customer would, for your phone number, website and address, and whether you're open. Then we compare its answers with what your own website and your Google listing show.

An example. What Gemini might say about a business. Larchmere Cycle Works is made up. So are its numbers and answers. We ask the way a customer would: “What's the phone number, website and address, and are they open?” Then we compare. Website: Gemini said larchmerecycle.example; the business shows larchmerecycle.example. Same. Address: Gemini said 123 Example St; the business shows 123 Example St. Same. Gemini's answers vs. what the business shows on its own website and Google listing. One answer is different. Phone: Gemini said (847) 555-0188; the business shows (847) 555-0142. Different. Before we call it wrong, we check: is it a second line they use? Does the number belong to another business on Google? One we couldn't get. Open or closed? Gemini said No answer; the business shows Open. Unknown. When Gemini doesn't answer, we say so. An unknown is never counted as right. AI answers change, and every app answers differently. If an answer is wrong, we tell you how we know. For example: “the number it gave belongs to another business on Google.” If we can't tell for sure, we say so and don't call it a problem.

We note the date and which assistant we asked. AI answers change over time and differ between assistants. A different number can also be a second line you use on purpose. Tell us, and we'll leave it alone.
